I saw my running master a few days ago and he asked how my running was going. Problem is - it wasn't. I was already failing my "life-is-the-workout" blog by letting work become my life. The weather was also a factor. In the past 2-3 weeks, I discovered how easy it was not to run. Even on days when I started the day dressed for a run, I let the cooler temperatures or work deadlines hold me back. I'd tell myself, "I'll just go do this one thing at my computer while it warms up a bit outside. Before I knew it, I was consumed by work as the temperatures rose and then fell while the minutes ticked away.

Running Master suggested Cold-Gear clothing and fewer excuses. He was right, as always. I decided to start the week with a renewed commitment to running. Of course, it helped that all my deadlines were met and the temperatures rose into the low 70's. Thus inspired, I ran, not far, not long, but I ran and liked it. Again.
