I had been searching for a fitness tracker to log when I work out and when I run. Granted, my winter hibernation has not resulted in very many workouts to log, but spring will be here soon, and I'm getting ready. Just in time, I discovered a link to
FITnoke on the
Handshake2.0 web site where I do regularly exercise my writing muscle.
Lee Bradshaw and
Wade Hammes, from
Roanoke Virginia, launched
FITnoke in June of 2008. The first time I visited their web page, I saw that the site provided a list of fitness centers in our region which I thought was a great idea. Sometimes, the locations of gyms and training centers can be the best kept secrets in a community.
Next, I discovered well written content, people passionate about what they do, humor, and a fitness training log. I joined (it's free) and began tracking my workouts. Looking back over January's log, I see that it's time to make some changes.
Before FITnoke, I used my
Palm calendar software, which meant runs were lumped in with business meetings, appointments, and kids events, making it impossible to track my fitness efforts consistently. Now, I can.
In the process, I've met Wade Hammes online and have greatly appreciated his responsive communication and enthusiasm. It's a great time to get fit with
FITnoke.
